Controller

Identify the data controller (your name or organisation) and contact details for data protection queries.

What we collect

• Account: email address and password (password stored as a one-way hash).
• Profile: preferred fuel, default MPG, car brand.
• Sensitive-style contact/location fields: phone number and postcode are encrypted at rest.
• Optional marketing consent if you tick the relevant box.
• Technical logs may include IP address and timestamps as part of normal web server operation (keep retention minimal).

Why we use it

Providing the Pump Trumps service, securing accounts, and (if you opt in) marketing. Document your lawful bases (e.g. contract, consent, legitimate interests) in your final policy.

Retention

Define how long you keep each category of data and when you delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You may request access to or deletion of your personal data. In the app, use Profiles to download an export or request erasure, subject to any legal exceptions.

Processors

List subprocessors (e.g. hosting, database provider) and, where relevant, international transfers and safeguards.
